Job Description
We are looking for a seasoned and hands-on Lead Functional Consultant with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations to drive end-to-end ERP implementation and transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong finance domain knowledge, a proven track record across multiple D365 F&O rollouts, and the ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical delivery in a fast-paced travel technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end D365 F&O Finance implementations from requirements workshops through go-live - across multiple geographies and legal entities.
- Drive fit-gap analysis, solution design, and configuration of Finance modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash & Bank Management, Credit & Collections, Fixed Assets, and Budgeting.
- Own the functional design of multi-company, multi-currency, and multi-legal entity setups in alignment with IFRS / local GAAP requirements.
- Manage data migration strategy and execution: chart of accounts mapping, opening balances, master data cleansing, and validation.
- Engage directly with Finance, Accounting, and Treasury stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements using structured workshops and process walkthroughs.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, process flow diagrams, and configuration workbooks.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) coordination - author test scripts, manage defect triage, and ensure sign-off readiness.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend best-practice D365 configurations over customisations wherever possible.
- Configure and maintain Financial Reporting (Management Reporter / Financial Reporter) for P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow statements.
- Work with Power BI and D365 built-in analytics to deliver real-time financial dashboards and KPI visibility for leadership.
- Design and validate consolidation and elimination processes for multi-entity reporting.
- Lead statutory and tax localisation for India (GST, TDS, TCS), UK (VAT, MTD), and Mexico (SAT / CFDI e-invoicing) within D365 F&O.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and audit trails; partner with external auditors during review cycles.
- Prepare and present solution design documents, project status updates, and go-live readiness assessments to senior leadership.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 7 years of ERP functional consulting experience, with at least 4 full lifecycle D365 F&O implementations.
- Strong finance domain background - solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and statutory compliance.
- MBA (Finance), M.Com, CA, or equivalent qualification from a reputed institution.
- Deep hands-on configuration expertise across: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash & Bank Management, Credit & Collections, Fixed Assets, and Budgeting.
- Experience with Financial Dimensions, Ledger Allocation Rules, Consolidations, and Intercompany Accounting.
- Proficiency in Financial Reporting (Management Reporter) and D365 Financial Analytics.
- Proven experience delivering localisation for India (GST, TDS, TCS, e-invoicing), UK (VAT, Making Tax Digital), and Mexico (SAT / CFDI).
- Familiarity with multi-currency, multi-language, and multi-legal entity configurations.
