Job Title: Physical Design Engineer
Location: Chennai
Experience: 4+ Years
Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Physical Design Engineer with strong experience in end-to-end ASIC physical design implementation. The candidate should have hands-on exposure to advanced node designs and timing closure methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on experience in full-chip/block-level physical design implementation from Netlist to GDSII
- Expertise in Floorplanning, Placement, CTS, Routing, and Physical Verification
- Strong experience in timing closure, congestion fixing, and ECO implementation
- Handling IR drop, EM, and power optimization activities
- Experience in low-power implementation using UPF/CPF (preferred)
- Work closely with synthesis, STA, DFT, and RTL teams for design convergence
- Debugging and fixing DRC/LVS issues
- Experience working on advanced technology nodes (preferred)
Required Skills:
- Strong working experience with tools like ICC2 / Innovus / Fusion Compiler
- Good understanding of timing analysis and sign-off flows
- Experience with STA tools such as PrimeTime (added advantage)
- Scripting knowledge in TCL / Perl / Python is preferred
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Qualification:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics / VLSI / Electrical Engineering or related field
