Job Description
- The Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end handling of the projects assigned to them. They are to educate and influence their teams to work effectively and assist them when needed to perform their tasks. They must coordinate with the clients over emails and calls to update the project status, involve in technical discussions and answer any queries relating to assigned projects.
- Knowledge of Tekla structures, AUTO CAD and Advance Steel
- Knowledge of AISC and CISC standards
- Ability to interpret and understand architectural drawings, structural/miscellaneous drawings and specifications
- Understand engineering of simple connection design and produce clear, concise and complete drawings
- Generation and tracking of RFI's by reviewing contract drawings
- Coordinate with clients over email and phone calls and take a lead in answering queries and participating in discussions related to their assigned projects
- Keep tab of the Project status and regularly update it to the supervisor
- Gather available information from all sources in order to feed and coordinate with Drafting Department members
- Effective Resource planning & allocation to achieve Project goals and timelines
- Track, review and approve logged hours of the team
- Check and finalize structural steel fabrication and erection drawings and issue for approval and fabrication
- Knowledge of ASD,OSHA,NISD & AWS will be an added advantage
- Analytical and decision making skills
- Ability to visualize problems with Fabrication and Erection and suggest alternate solutions
- Must be self-motivated to manage, coordinate and facilitate multiple initiatives in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Communicate effectively with team members, work in collaborative environment and be a team players
- Ability to work and deliver as Project timelines and schedules demand
- Understand internal Project Reports and utilize them for better project planning and performance
