Job Description
- Evaluate patients medical condition and history to determine most suitable radiographic technique for diagnosis
- Communicate effectively with radiologists and health care professionals to ensure the message is getting across appropriately.
- Troubleshoot peripheral equipment and scanners to ensure that equipment is operating properly to avoid downtime or delays that affect patient satisfaction.
- Screen patients before examination for cardiac pacemaker, aneurysm clips, metallic stents, cochlear implants etc.
- Ensure patient safety with aseptic injection technique and pre-screening for any contra-indications before the procedure.
- Direct and supervise the activities of radiography assistants and trainee radiographers
- Maintain proper consent records of patient details ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information
- Provide training to new technologists with regular checks, direction and qualified work samples performed by an experienced team member.
- Address patient concerns during the procedures and explain the CT & MRI process to the patient in a way that is informative but also reassuring.
- Position patients correctly for CT & MRI examination.
- Explain examination procedures to patients while considering their physical and emotional needs.
- Perform duties in times of crisis and during emergency and overtime situations.
- Maintain CT & MRI rooms clean, safe, and organized.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines to minimize risk of exposure to ionizing radiation
- Participate in quality assurance and improvements programs of the department.

Required Candidate Profile:
- Diploma / Degree in Medical Imaging & Technology.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in CT & MRI at Hospital / Diagnostics.
- Strong practical and organizational skills with the ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent scientific and technical knowledge and good IT skills.
- Written and oral communication skills to communicate with internal & external customers.
- Teamworking skills to work successfully with a team of technicians.
- The ability to cope with competing demands.
- A thorough, meticulous approach.
- Knowledge of safe working practices.
- Preference would be given to female candidates.
