Job Description
- Responsible to lead the Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse Admin, will also have to manage Front end & back end support team.
- This role will be accountable for leading all day to day operations of the enterprise data warehouse, its related applications and the development of effective business intelligence use within organisation.
- Leading and managing production support of On-Premise Data warehouse (Data Centre)
- Partnering with the organisation to develop and deliver business intelligence operational capability that delivers value driven reporting and insight in conjunction with Business Strategies.
- Developing, tracking, and managing the Data Warehouse operations budget as defined by the CTO.
- Responsible for developing BI Dashboards, ETL and Data marts designs for any solution delivery impacting the Business Intelligence space.
- Responsible for independently leading best practice ETL and Data Warehouse design efforts to continually improve solution delivery.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop quality technical solutions to support the required business intelligence solution.
- Maintain peer relationships across IT areas (infrastructure, operations, etc.) to support effective implementations.
- Partner with Project and Development teams to review new functionalities and develop test scenarios.
Required Candidate profile
- Bachelor's Degree (BigData Platform, BI Tools, Data Modelling Certified preferred)
- 6-10 yrs of experience in Data Centre, Integrated Data Warehouse, Market Research and Consumer Product and Data Centric Industry.
- Demonstrated experience with Business Intelligence Tools, SQL And No SQL data bases
- Understanding of BI Tools like QLIK, Pentaho, Oracle.
- Understanding of OLTP, OLAP, Dimensions, Start Schema, Snow flake Schema, ETL Techniques
- Demonstrated knowledge of analyzing business processes and transactional data systems
- Expert understanding of data base operations such as table indexing, partitioning, SQL tuning and Oracle std compression
- Anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve
- Strong team player - collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
- Builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint
- Communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions
- Change oriented - actively generates process improvements, supports and drives change and confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways.
- Strong analytical and strong problem-solving skills - candidate must be able to work effectively in with both the maintenance and change of as-is existing solutions as well as lead the definition for new ETL data areas.
