Inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee, Accounts Payable
Job Location: Hyderabad (Work from Office)
The SME / Team Leader Accounts Payable is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounts payable operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, and leading a team to meet service level agreements (SLAs). The role involves process improvement, stakeholder management, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
Responsibilities
- Deliver service in line with agreed controls and procedures to ensure high-level customer service for internal and external customers
- Process invoices with PO, buy-sell Process (Post GRs manually)
- Reconcile vendor statements, GIRIR clearing and Debit balances
- Ensure quality of AP processes, handling of all not compliant and not standard processes within the country
- Engage with multiple partners including both internal and external
- As a team leader, you will also supervise and guide your team in daily activities
- SOPs revisit at regular intervals and the latest updates are incorporated post-client signoff
- Monitor SLAs, KPIs, and productivity metrics
- Resolve complex vendor queries and escalations
- Perform vendor reconciliations and review exception items
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and provisions
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (procurement, business, treasury)
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives
- Support internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
- B.Com Graduate / MCom (MBA Finance preferred)
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
- Relevant years of experience
- Good Communication skill and the ability to engage customers in significant discussions
- Strong team player and team managing skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially in MS excel , Lean Trained & Tested preferred
- Scope for working under various ERP Packages - SAP , SAP Hana
