This position is for a direct IT infrastructure role and requires L3/L4/L5 hands-on experience in deployment and troubleshooting of (Centos or Ubuntu ), ( Apache or Nginx), MySql.
As a IT - Lead / Assistant Manger for IT infrastructure responsible will be deploying, managing, maintaining, and optimizing the organizations Linux-based IT infrastructure. This role oversees servers and system performance, ensures high availability, and lead the IT team in delivering reliable and scalable solutions across all Linux environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Very strong hands-on experience with Centos, Ubuntu, Nginx, and MySQL, for web hosting applications, and providing support for 24x7 operations.
- Manage virtualization environments (VMware, KVM, Proxmox).
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems. Should be very good in RAID configuration and Volumes setups.
- Should have very strong experience on Postfix, iptables, firewalld and SSH.
- Should have knowledge of software deployment tools such as GitHub and Ansible
- Managing and tracking domain accounts, their renewals, and Cloudflare accounts.
- Should have knowledge of capacity planning for production servers and planning for high availability..
- Design, implement, and manage LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Ensure network reliability, performance optimization, and minimal downtime.
- Monitor network traffic, analyze performance, and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Manage network security, including firewall policies, intrusion detection/prevention, access control, and vulnerability mitigation.
- Should have experiences on Cisco Routers and L3 Switching.
- Implement and maintain IT security policies, access controls, and data protection plans.
- Monitor system logs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure minimal downtime.
- Handle backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Lead IT engineers/admins and provide technical support & mentorship.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for deployment of applications and services.
- Manage IT documentation, asset management, and change management processes.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve infrastructure reliability.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security and regulatory standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred).
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure and Linux system administration.
- Experience with networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, firewalls).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure optional but preferred).
- Experience in DevOps tools: Docker, , Git, Jenkins (added advantage).
- Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills.
- Familiarity with database systems (MySQL MongoDB).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
