The Security Consultant is responsible for leading the end-to-end cloud security architecture, governance, and standards for the security monitoring ecosystem. This role ensures that security controls, compliance requirements, and cost governance guardrails are clearly defined and consistently implemented across the platform.
What will your job look like?
Key Responsibilities
- Define overall cloud security architecture and governance for SIEM/SOAR and related security platforms.
- Establish security standards, baseline controls, access model, and retention/cost guidelines.
- Design target architecture across tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Log Analytics Workspace, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft Purview.
- Prioritize and plan onboarding of log sources and ingestion strategy.
- Create and approve architecture documents, detection roadmaps, and operational models.
- Define RBAC, least-privilege access, and access review processes.
- Set cost optimization policies for data ingestion, retention, archival, and workspace strategy.
- Define ASR baselines, UEBA scope, and Purview scanning requirements.
- Establish KPI frameworks, reporting standards, and governance processes for SOC operations.
- Provide final sign off for risks, improvements, architecture changes, and long term roadmap and cost governance guardrails are clearly defined and consistently implemented across the platform.

- Cloud security architecture, governance, standards definition.
- Preferred to have experience 8+ years
- Microsoft Sentinel, LAW architecture & retention strategy.
- MDE enterprise patterns: onboarding, ASR, EDR integrations.
- Purview data governance, audit interpretation.
- Strong KQL literacy for architectural-level design.
- RBAC, identity governance, conditional access principles.
- Azure cost governance and optimization experience.
- Must have Certifications AZ 900, AZ 104, AZ-500, SC 900, SC 200
