Senior Software Test Engineer @ Siemens

Youll make a difference by:

• Lead Test Strategy & Design: Develop comprehensive test strategies, specifications, and documentation for complex rail systems
• Drive Test Automation: Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites using Robot Framework and Python
• Quality Assurance Leadership: Execute requirement-based and black box testing methodologies to ensure product excellence
• Defect Management: Conduct thorough defect analysis, root cause investigation, and detailed reporting
• Project Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and track testing activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to testing process optimization and best practice development

Required Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of software testing experience
• Strong Python programming skills - essential for automation development
• Rail domain expertise - understanding of railway systems, protocols, and safety standards
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification - demonstrating testing fundamentals
• Robot Framework proficiency - hands-on experience in test automation
• Black box testing expertise - requirement-based testing methodologies
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced testing techniques: Boundary Value Analysis and Equivalence Class Partitioning
• GitLab experience - version control and CI/CD pipeline knowledge
• Prior experience with writing and executing non-functional test cases.
