Senior Associate Software Engineer - Devops @ Aegon Life

Job Description

• Assist in designing, developing, testing, and deploying software applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Java, Python, JavaScript , and SQL .
• Collaborate with senior engineers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software systems.
• Work with databases to create queries, manage data, and ensure integrity.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute fresh ideas to the team.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Exposure to web development frameworks (React, Node.js, Spring, Django, etc).

Strong programming knowledge in:

• Java (OOP concepts, basic frameworks, exception handling)
• Python (scripts, data handling, automation basics)
• JavaScript (fundamentals, DOM, ES6 concepts)
• SQL (queries, joins, data retrieval, basic optimization)

• Good understanding of software development fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Familiarity with version control systems (eg, Git).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
