Role Summary
The Head of Google Cloud Solutions & Architecture is the overall owner and leader of
Tech Mahindras Google Cloud Solutions function. The role is responsible for defining,
incubating, scaling, and externally positioning differentiated Google Cloud solutions
across industries.
This role goes well beyond traditional architecture responsibilities. It requires operating
effectively within Tech Mahindras federated service line model and orchestrating close
collaboration across Industry Units, Service Lines, Sales, Marketing, Delivery, and
Google Cloud teams. The role serves as the face of Google Cloud solutions for Tech
Mahindra, both internally and externally, and plays a central role in driving solution-led
growth, market credibility, and strategic differentiation.
This is a high-visibility P2 leadership role and is critical to Tech Mahindras Google
Cloud growth ambitions and long-term partnership with Google Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
Solutions Strategy and Ownership
Own the end-to-end Google Cloud solutions strategy for Tech Mahindra, aligned
to priority industries, AI-led plays, and growth objectives.
Define and execute a solutions roadmap aligned with Google Cloud strategic
priorities including AI, Gemini, Data, and Industry Clouds.
Lead the complete solution lifecycle from ideation and incubation to GTM
readiness and scale.
Ensure solutions are commercially viable, repeatable, differentiated, and
measurable in impact.
Continuously evolve solutions based on customer feedback, market trends, and
learnings from active deals.
Operating in Tech Mahindras Federated Service Line Model
Act as the central orchestrator for Google Cloud solutions across Tech
Mahindras service lines and industry units.
Work closely with Service Line Heads and Practice Leaders to co-create
solutions leveraging service line strengths and assets.
Align solution ownership, delivery models, and execution responsibilities across a
matrixed organization.
Ensure solutions are embedded into service line GTM motions and sales plays,
not treated as standalone central initiatives.
Influence stakeholders across the organization and drive alignment without direct
authority.
Google Cloud Partnership and Co-Creation Leadership
Serve as the primary solutions leadership interface with Google Cloud Partner
Engineering, AI and Gemini specialists, and industry teams.
Lead joint solution co-creation and roadmap alignment with Google Cloud.
Drive early adoption of new Google Cloud capabilities through lighthouse
customers, pilots, and reference implementations.
Leverage Google Cloud funding programs for solution development, PoCs, and
pilots to accelerate solution maturity and scale.
Sales, Marketing, and Market Engagement
Partner closely with Sales leadership to shape solution-led sales motions and
support large, complex, and strategic pursuits.
Collaborate with Marketing teams to define solution positioning, messaging, and
narratives for campaigns, analyst briefings, events, and thought leadership.
Act as a visible spokesperson for Tech Mahindras Google Cloud solutions in
customer forums, executive briefings, Google-led partner events, and industry
engagements.
Strategic Deal and Customer Engagement
Lead solution architecture for large, complex, and strategic opportunities
including RFPs and executive-led pursuits.
Engage directly with customers at CXO and senior IT leadership levels as a
trusted advisor.
Guide solution feasibility, cost models, pricing constructs, risk assessment, and
delivery approaches from a solution perspective.
Ensure insights from deals and customer engagements continuously inform
solution refinement and roadmap priorities.
Team, Capability, and IP Leadership
Lead and mentor a team of Google Cloud architects and solution leaders.
Define and govern architecture standards, reference patterns, and best practices.
Drive internal enablement, certifications, and capability uplift aligned to solution
priorities.
Own the creation of solution IP, accelerators, and reusable assets in
collaboration with service lines and delivery teams.
Technical Skills and Expertise
Core Google Cloud
Deep hands-on expertise across Compute services including GCE, GKE, and
Cloud Run.
Strong experience with Data services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc,
and Pub/Sub.
Advanced understanding of AI and ML services including Vertex AI, Gemini, and
MLOps.
Strong grounding in cloud security including IAM, VPC Service Controls, and
BeyondCorp.
Proven experience designing cloud-native, distributed, and scalable
architectures.
AI and Data
Proven experience designing and leading AI-driven and GenAI solutions
including LLM and Gemini-based architectures.
Strong background in enterprise data modernization and analytics platforms.
Experience with AI lifecycle management, governance, and MLOps.
Ability to clearly articulate business value and outcomes of AI, not just technical
implementation.
Enterprise and Industry
Experience working with large enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, and
enterprise data platforms.
Industry exposure across Manufacturing, Telco, BFSI, Retail, or Healthcare Life
Sciences is preferred.
Strong understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud enterprise environments.
Leadership and Non-Technical Capabilities
Strong executive presence and solution storytelling capability.
Proven ability to lead and influence in large, federated, matrixed organizations.
High collaboration quotient across sales, delivery, marketing, and partner teams.
Strategic mindset combined with strong execution discipline.
Comfort representing Tech Mahindra externally as a solutions and thought
leader.
Qualifications and Certifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.
Google Cloud Professional Architect certification is strongly preferred.
Additional certifications in AI, Data, or Security are a plus.
