Job Description
We are seeking a GCP Cloud Ops Engineer (5-6 years) to design and manage secure, scalable cloud environments. The role involves enterprise networking, IAM governance, Zero Trust security, Kubernetes, API management, automation with Terraform, observability, and cloud cost optimization, along with supporting AI/ML solutions.
Role & responsibilities :
- Architect and design secure, scalable cloud solutions using GCP services such as VPC, Private Service Connect, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Armor, Cloud NAT, VPN, Interconnect, Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, and AI/ML services.
- Lead enterprise network architecture, including multiVPC design, VPC Peering, Shared VPC, HubandSpoke topology, firewall governance, routing strategies, DNS design, hybrid connectivity, and secure ingress/egress patterns.
- Implement Zero Trust security models using IAM, service accounts, leastprivilege design, VPC Service Controls, encryption, and workload identity federation (OIDC/SAML).
- Build and govern IAM architecture, including role design, service account lifecycle management, organization policy constraints, and identitycentric security across large GCP environments.
- Define and enforce Service Control Policies (SCPs) and organization guardrails to ensure governance, compliance, and safe access boundaries across all projects.
- Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives, including containerization, GKE adoption, microservices, serverless patterns, and API gateway designs.
- Design and manage secure API ecosystems using Apigee, including API gateways, OAuth2/JWT enforcement, rate limiting, developer portals, and hybrid/API security models.
- Drive cloud security and compliance with Cloud Armor WAF, secret management, threat detection, secure coding practices, and audit readiness.
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform/IaC, ensuring consistent standards, repeatability, and lifecycle automation across multiregion deployments.
- Implement enterprise observability using Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Error Reporting, Cloud Trace, and Cloud Profiler for system reliability and performance.
- Provide strategic architecture leadership, collaborating with security, DevOps, network, and product teams to deliver best practices, design documents, PoCs, and architecture standards.
- Troubleshoot complex, distributed, hybrid architectures to maintain high availability, resilience, and operational excellence.
- Deliver enterprise AI/ML and generative AI solutions using Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, AI APIs, embeddings, and secure deployment patterns with strong data governance.
Optimize cloud spend and performance through committed use discounts, autoscaling strategies, and storage lifecycle optimization
