Application Engineer PCB Simulation @ Prolim

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and technically strong Application Engineer to support and drive adoption of HyperLynx solutions. The role involves pre-sales technical support, customer engagement, simulation demonstrations, and post-sales technical enablement in PCB Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), and EMC domains.

This position requires strong PCB fundamentals, simulation knowledge, and customer-facing communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for HyperLynx SI/PI/EMC solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POC), and technical evaluations.
• Work closely with sales teams to support pre-sales technical discussions.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions to customers.
• Assist customers in:
• Signal Integrity analysis (crosstalk, reflection, eye diagram analysis)
• Power Integrity analysis (DC drop, PDN analysis)
• PCB EMI/EMC validation
• Support customers in debugging PCB design issues using simulation tools.
• Coordinate with global technical teams for advanced support cases.
• Contribute to technical documentation and application notes.

Technical Skill Requirements

• Strong understanding of:
• PCB design fundamentals
• Signal Integrity (SI)
• Power Integrity (PI)
• High-speed interfaces (DDR, PCIe, SerDes, USB, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with PCB design or simulation tools.
• Familiarity with:
• S-parameters
• Transmission line theory
• Eye diagram analysis
• IBIS models
• Basic knowledge of schematic and layout tools is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to EDA tools from Siemens ecosystem is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings and technical engagements.
