Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager to lead a team of technical experts in delivering cutting-edge solutions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Java, Spring Boot, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and front-end development with Angular, along with deep expertise in PostgreSQL, Hive, and Kafka. Experience in Big Data technologies, cloud platforms such as Azure and GCP, and tools like ArgoCD, Helm, and Jenkins is essential. A telecom background with knowledge of Spark or NiFi will be a significant advantage. This role requires a balance of hands-on technical work and leadership to ensure the team delivers exceptional results while adhering to Agile practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Mentorship:
- Lead and mentor a team of developers and engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
- Drive team performance through regular coaching, skill development, and constructive feedback.
Technical Execution:
- Architect and implement scalable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and associated frameworks.
- Ensure database performance, optimization, and reliability with a strong focus on PostgreSQL, Hive, and Kafka integration.
Full-Stack Development:
- Guide the team in designing and building dynamic, high-performance front-end applications using Angular.
Big Data and Cloud Expertise:
- Design, implement, and manage Big Data solutions using tools such as Hive, Kafka, Spark, or NiFi.
- Leverage cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) to develop, deploy, and manage applications efficiently.
DevOps and CI/CD:
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Helm to ensure efficient and reliable deployment processes.
- Promote DevOps best practices and automation to enhance system performance and reliability.
Agile Project Management:
- Drive Agile practices, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives using tools like Jira.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time with high-quality outcomes.
Telecom Domain Expertise:
- Apply industry knowledge to address telecom-specific challenges and design tailored solutions.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Enforce rigorous testing standards, including comprehensive unit testing with JUnit, Code Reviews, to deliver defect-free, high-quality products.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 10+ years in software development, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or managerial role.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong hands-on skills in Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Hive, and Kafka.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, ArgoCD, Helm).
- Advanced knowledge of Angular for front-end development.
- Expertise in Big Data handling and tools like Spark or NiFi is a plus.
- Solid experience with cloud platforms like Azure and GCP.
- Domain Knowledge: Proven telecom background is highly desirable.
- Agile Expertise: Experience implementing Agile methodologies using tools like Jira.
- Other Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication, and a passion for team building and mentoring.
