Senior Scrum Master
Job Summary
The Senior Scrum Master will lead multiple Agile teams delivering high-quality Healthcare IT solutions, ensuring adherence to Scrum and Agile principles. This role acts as a servant leader, coach, and change agent, enabling teams to consistently deliver Business and Operational values
Key Responsibilities
Agile Leadership & Delivery
- Serve as Scrum Master for one or more cross-functional Agile teams using Scrum, SAFe, or hybrid Agile frameworks
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Remove impediments and manage dependencies across teams, programs, and vendors
- Ensure teams deliver high-quality increments aligned with business objectives and regulatory compliance
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively with clinical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in regulated, compliance-driven environments
- Strong servant-leadership mindset with a focus on team empowerment
Coaching & Agile Maturity
- Coach teams, Product Owners, and leaders on Agile and Lean best practices
- Mentor junior Scrum Masters and help scale Agile across the organization
- Promote continuous improvement using metrics such as velocity, cycle time, lead time, defect leakage, and team health
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, transparency, and quality
Governance & Risk Management
- Balance Agile delivery with healthcare governance, audit, and compliance needs
- Identify risks early and proactively manage delivery, compliance, and dependency risks
- Support release planning, change management, and production readiness reviews
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 1216+ years of IT experience with 8+ years as a Scrum Master
Technical & Domain Knowledge
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and scaling frameworks
Tools & Methods
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or equivalent
- Strong reporting and Jira dashboarding skills for Agile metrics
Preferred Certifications
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master(PSM1) or Advanced/Professional Scrum Master (A-CSM / PSM II)
- SAFe Agilist or SAFe Scrum Master a plus
- Agile Coaching , Product Owner or Lean certification a plus
