Job Description

Job Title: In-Patient Admission and Billing - Patient Experience Associate Job Description:
Manipal Hospitals is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Experience Associate to manage the in-patient admission and billing processes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for patients during their hospital stay. Responsibilities include welcoming patients and their families, collecting necessary information for admissions, coordinating with medical staff for a smooth process, and ensuring accurate billing information is captured. The associate will also address any patient inquiries or concerns regarding admissions and billing and assist in resolving issues to enhance the overall patient experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients and their families during the admission process.
- Collect and verify patient admission information, including identification and insurance details.
- Coordinate with medical and administrative staff to facilitate a smooth admission experience.
- Provide information about hospital services, policies, and procedures to patients and families.
- Handle billing inquiries, explain charges, and assist patients in understanding their bills.
- Resolve any issues or concerns related to in-patient admissions and billing promptly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to patient admissions and billing processes.
- Assist in the completion of discharge processes, including final billing and insurance claims. Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and a compassionate approach towards patients.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive information.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in using hospital management systems and billing software.
- Knowledge of healthcare policies, insurance verification, and billing processes is a plus.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in patient admissions or billing, is desirable.
- A degree in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Tools and Technologies:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and families.
- A background in healthcare administration or customer service, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to manage billing inquiries and patient needs efficiently.
