Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable applications leveraging Angular, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Oversee the implementation of robust backend services using Java (JDK 1.8 and above) and ensure their integration with front-end components.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs to facilitate seamless interaction between different system modules.
- Utilize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including Cloud Runner, Cloud Build, and Cloud SQL, for application deployment and management.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Docker to ensure efficient software delivery and deployment.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scopes, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues, optimizing services for better efficiency and reliability.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve development practices and enhance technical expertise within the team.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effectively communicating with stakeholders and providing timely updates on project status.

- The ideal candidate will possess a strong skill set that encompasses GCP (Google Cloud Platform), Angular, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Python, reflecting a comprehensive understanding of modern software development practices. With 5 to 30 years of experience, the candidate is expected to demonstrate advanced proficiency in these areas, applying them effectively to meet business objectives and drive innovation within the Ford Motor Company.
- GCP: The candidate should have extensive experience utilizing Google Cloud Platform, showcasing the ability to design, deploy, and manage scalable applications on GCP infrastructure. Proficiency in GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery is essential for leveraging cloud capabilities to enhance application performance and reduce operational costs.
- Spring Boot and Microservices: A deep understanding of Spring Boot is necessary for building robust microservices architectures. The candidate should be capable of developing RESTful APIs and leveraging Spring Boots built-in features to streamline application development and enhance maintainability. Experience in microservices design patterns and distributed system principles will be crucial for achieving system scalability and reliability.
