Job Details


The job incumbent shall be responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing merchants for the bank's POS, QR, and digital payment solutions and cross sell. The Sales Officer will play a key role in expanding the bank's merchant network and driving digital payment adoption.


Overall Job Description

  • Identify potential merchants (retailers, service providers, etc.) for onboarding.
  • Pitch banks POS terminals, QR codes, payment gateways, and other digital payment solutions and cross sell
  • Meet assigned monthly/quarterly targets for merchant acquisition and activation.
  • Ensure complete documentation and KYC compliance during onboarding.
  • Train merchants on device usage, settlement process, and support mechanisms.
  • Monitor merchant activity post-onboarding to drive transaction volume and reduce attrition.
  • Build strong relationships with merchants for referrals and upselling.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for technical setup, service, and troubleshooting.

Essential requirement

  • 1-3 years of experience preferably in banking/fintech/payment industry
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sales-driven and target-oriented mindset
  • Knowledge of digital payments and fintech trends
  • Ability to work in field and handle merchant queries effectively.
  • Good negotiation and problem-solving abilities
  • Two-Wheeler is mandatory
  • Must be graduated
