Database & AWS Cloud Support Engineer @ Capgemini

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Database & Cloud Support Engineer with strong SQL expertise and hands-on AWS operational experience. The ideal candidate should have a background in production support (L1/L2), be able to troubleshoot database issues, optimize queries, handle cloud operations, and support application workloads running on AWS.

Your Role

• Perform L1/L2 support for databasedriven applications (SQL, MySQL, Oracle preferred).
• Troubleshoot DB issues, run SQL queries, validate data, and support performance root cause analysis.
• Manage AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC) for daytoday operations and incident handling.
• Monitor application, DB, and cloud infrastructure using standard tools (Grafana, CloudWatch, Kibana, etc.).
• Handle deployments, releases, log analysis, and incident resolution within SLA.
• Work with crossfunctional teams (Dev/Infra/Cloud) for issue escalation and permanent fixes.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and support production migrations and environment changes.

Your Profile

• 4 to 7 years of experience in SQL/Database support (MySQL/Oracle/SQL Server).
• Strong SQL query writing, joins, functions, and debugging experience.
• Handson AWS operational experience (IAM, EC2, RDS, VPC, S3, CloudWatch).
• Experience in L1/L2 production support & incident management.
• Handson Linux/Unix for troubleshooting and logs.
• 2+ years of AWS experience (functional / operational level)
• Willingness to work night shift till 3:00/4:00 AM
