Responsibilities include translating requirements and data mapping documents into technical designs developing enhancing and maintaining code following best practices and standards supporting regression and system testing efforts debugging and resolving issues found during testing or production communicating status issues and blockers with the project team and supporting continuous improvement by identifying and addressing opportunities.
Basic qualifications include a Bachelors degree or military experience in a related field preferably computer science with three to five years of ETL development experience in a data warehouse environment deep understanding of enterprise data warehousing best practices and standards strong software engineering experience designing developing and operating robust highly scalable cloud infrastructure services strong experience with Python PySpark DataStage ETL and SQL development proven experience with cloud infrastructure projects including hands on migration to public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure preferably Snowflake knowledge of cybersecurity practices operations risk management processes architectural requirements and threats and vulnerabilities including incident response methodologies strong communication and interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred qualifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional experience defining future state roadmaps for data warehouse applications experience leading development teams experience in the financial services or banking industry.
Core skills include ETL data warehouse concepts Snowflake CI CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Python and DataStage.
