Python Selenium Automation Engineer

Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Python Selenium Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for web applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Python, Selenium WebDriver, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop automated test scripts using Python + Selenium WebDriver
• Build, enhance, and maintain test automation frameworks (PyTest / Unittest / Robot Framework)
• Analyze requirements and convert them into comprehensive automation test scenarios
• Execute automated regression test suites and ensure test coverage
• Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab)
• Work closely with developers, QA, and product teams to ensure highquality releases
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies: stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Maintain test reports, logs, and technical documentation

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
• 59 years of handson automation testing experience (customizable)
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Expertise in Selenium WebDriver
• Experience with:
• Test frameworks: PyTest, Unittest, or Robot Framework
• Locators, Page Object Model (POM), data-driven testing
• Web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM, XPath, JavaScript basics)
• API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured for Python, or requests library)
• Version control (Git), and CI/CD tools
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and QA methodologies

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with BDD frameworks (Behave/Cucumber for Python)
• Knowledge of Cloud-based testing (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
• Experience with database verification (SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Performance testing tools (JMeter/Locust) is a plus

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and in agile team environments
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
