Job Description
Marine Structural Erection Supervisor Job description:-
Manage daily fabrication, welding, and erection processes for aluminium vessels, ensuring structural accuracy and quality.Ensure structural assembly meets technical drawings and safety standards. Typical requirements include 2- 5+ years of relevant industry experience and expertise in marine-grade aluminium or steel fabrication in shipbuilding .
Key Responsibilities:-
1. Production Oversight: Supervise daily operations, including welding, fabrication, and assembly of aluminium structures (hulls & structures).
2. Quality & Technical Compliance: Ensure adherence to structural drawings, technical specifications, and welding procedures (e.g., TIG/MIG).
3. Resource Management: Manage team performance, assign daily tasks, and coordinate with project managers to meet schedules.
Inspection: Monitor workmanship quality and perform inspections during the fabrication and assembly stages.
Required Qualifications & Skills:-
1. Experience: Minimum 3- 5 years of experience in shipbuilding, specializing in aluminium construction.
2. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in reading structural drawings and expertise in Aluminium welding.
3. Leadership: Strong team leading and communication skills to manage work crews.
4. Education: A Diploma or adequate practical shipyard experience.
