Job Description
Role & responsibilities
We are seeking a talented and hands-on Research Scientist with 2 to 7 years of experience to contribute to the development of advanced data science solutions, including machine learning, NLP, and generative AI applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and statistics, with strong coding skills in Python and a proven ability to handle structured and unstructured data.
As a Research Scientist at Tredence, you will be responsible for taking ownership of end-to-end systems from problem statement to solution delivery and will work closely with teams to optimize and implement innovative algorithms in real-world business settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle structured and unstructured data, including data loading, validation, and cleaning
- Apply and optimize algorithms in a professional/business environment
- Build scalable data science solutions using machine learning, NLP, or Gen AI techniques
- Write efficient and high-quality code in Python
- Take ownership of projects from conceptualization to delivery
- Measure and enhance algorithm quality and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and deploy models
- Stay updated with the latest trends and research in AI, ML, and data science
Mandatory Skills
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Excellent understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Prior experience with handling various types of data (structured/unstructured)
- Solid background in Mathematics and Statistics
- Thorough knowledge of at least one of the following areas:
- Machine Learning algorithms
- Natural Language Processing techniques
- Generative AI (Gen AI)
- Proven ability to apply advanced algorithms in real-world business contexts
- Accountability for the performance and optimization of algorithmic solutions
Preferred candidate profile
Preferred Skills
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Theano, or Torch
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a strong advantage
Education & Experience
- BE/BTech/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field
- 2 to 7 years of relevant experience working in a team for building applications in Predictive Analytics and Data Science
