Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Selenium to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of quality assurance processes, test automation frameworks, and strong experience in developing and executing automated test scripts using Selenium. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the highest quality of software products and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
- Work closely with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand functional requirements and design comprehensive test plans and cases.
- Implement automation frameworks and strategies to increase testing efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and accelerate the release cycle.
- Perform functional, regression, performance, and integration testing of web applications using Selenium and other testing tools.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Review test results, log defects, and track them to closure.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior automation engineers in best practices, code reviews, and test strategies.
- Actively contribute to the improvement of the overall QA process by identifying automation opportunities and enhancing test coverage.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in automation tools and testing methodologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6-10 years of hands-on experience in QA Automation, with a strong focus on Selenium WebDriver.
- Expertise in creating, maintaining, and enhancing automation frameworks from scratch (using Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, etc.).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how to automate them.
- Solid experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or SOAP UI.
- Familiarity with cloud testing platforms (e.g., Browser Stack, Sauce Labs).
- Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and test-driven development (TDD).
- Familiarity with other automation tools (e.g., Appium, Cypress).
