Job Description

Position Summary:
The Regional Head - Sales will lead the sales team to execute strategic initiatives, achieving sales targets for a designated region. This role involves driving business development, enhancing market share, and ensuring high-quality service delivery for corporate and retail insurance portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Target Achievement: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve regional revenue, premium targets, and profitability goals.
  • Business Development: Actively source, manage, and grow high-value corporate clients (large SME/Corporate).
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and monitor the performance of sales managers, Account Managers, and branch staff to ensure high productivity.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers for competitive pricing and with key clients for retention.
  • Compliance & Operations: Ensure strict adherence to IRDAI regulations, company policies, and ethical standards in all transactions.
  • Market Analysis: Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and market opportunities to provide input on product development.
  • Operational Coordination: Coordinate with underwriting, operations, and claims teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Graduation / Post Graduation
  • Experience: 10-15 years of experience in the insurance industry, with at least 5+ years in a senior sales leadership role within insurance broking.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of General Insurance products (Corporate, Property, Motor, Employee Benefits).

Certifications: IRDAI Brokers Exam certification is preferred.
