Job Description
- Strong knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences (pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, etc.).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated research experience and publication record.
- Ability to engage and inspire students.
- Registered pharmacist with clinical experience (often preferred)
A Pharmacy Lecturer teaches pharmacy students at undergraduate/postgraduate levels, developing and delivering course content (like pharmacology, pharmaceutics), supervising research, and assessing performance, while also conducting their own research, publishing, securing grants, collaborating with industry, and contributing to curriculum development to advance pharmaceutical knowledge and practice. Key duties involve lecture prep, running labs, student mentoring, academic administration, and continuous professional development, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
Core Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Curriculum: Deliver lectures, seminars, and lab sessions; design and update course materials; develop innovative teaching methods; contribute to curriculum design and review.'
2.Research & Scholarship: Conduct original research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, secure research funding, and present findings.
Student Supervision & Mentoring: Guide undergraduate and postgraduate students on academic paths, research projects, dissertations, and career goals.
3.Academic Administration: Participate in committees, undertake assessments, contribute to quality assurance, and manage departmental tasks.
4.Industry & External Engagement: Build links with healthcare institutions, industry partners, and participate in outreach activities.
