About the Opportunity
We are building a focused cloud network automation capability within a large-scale, global hub-and-spoke multi-cloud enterprise environment. This initiative is anchored by F5 load balancer automation and is designed to strengthen reliability, consistency, and lifecycle visibility across VIP and public IP management in Azure, AWS, and other cloud platforms.
This is not a traditional on-prem networking role. The work centers on designing and implementing API-driven automation across cloud-native networking constructs, ensuring that VIP and public IP lifecycle management is consistent across distributed cloud environments.
You will work alongside a US-based Senior Cloud F5 Automation Lead and global engineering stakeholders to deliver production-grade automation supporting multi-cloud VIP lifecycle management and state-aware network orchestration.
Role Overview
The Cloud Network Automation Engineer will implement F5 automation workflows and lifecycle validation logic within a cloud-centric, hub-and-spoke architecture spanning multiple cloud providers.
This role requires strong understanding of cloud networking constructs, cloud load balancer integration patterns, and API-driven automation in distributed environments.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud F5 Automation & Lifecycle Management
- Develop automation workflows for F5 VIP provisioning and deprovisioning across multi-cloud environments
- Implement API-driven configuration management using F5 REST interfaces
- Support lifecycle-aware handling of public IPs within Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Apply validation logic to distinguish shared versus dedicated VIP scenarios
Cloud Networking & Architecture Alignment
- Work within a hub-and-spoke cloud network topology
- Understand and align automation to VNet / VPC architectures, routing, and security boundaries
- Ensure automation reflects provider-specific IP allocation and association patterns
Automation Development & Engineering
- Design reusable automation modules and configuration templates
- Implement deterministic guardrails for lifecycle operations
- Contribute to centralized lifecycle and state tracking mechanisms
- Participate in technical design and peer reviews
Required Experience & Skills
- 8+ years of experience in cloud network engineering and automation
- Strong hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP (LTM, VIPs, pools, profiles)
- Experience with Azure VNet, AWS VPC, and cloud public IP management
- Experience working with F5 REST APIs
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting language
- Strong understanding of L4L7 networking concepts in cloud environments
- Experience designing automation with validation and guardrail logic
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience integrating automation with ServiceNow
- Experience working in large-scale multi-cloud enterprise environments
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation)
- Experience with CI/CD for infrastructure automation
Working Model
- Collaborates closely with a US-based Senior Cloud Network Automation Engineer (F5 Lead)
- Works alongside LATAM automation and integration engineers
- Engages with enterprise cloud and network architecture stakeholders
- Participates in design, build, test, and rollout cycles
