Job Description
What does a successful Tandem Developer do at Fiserv
- Expertise in Tandem Technology and Switching Platforms
- Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship
- Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts, and software architects to plan, design, develop, test
- Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications
- Analyze and resolve technical and application problems
- Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget
- Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Delegate tasks to team members and provide guidance as needed
- Manage risks and issues and develop contingency plans when necessary
- Proven working experience as a technical lead in the information technology sector
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
What you will need to have:
- 8 to 12 years experienced and should have expertise in TAL and C programming. Should be able to resolve memory related issues
- Well versed on ISO 8583 and implementation of new features/products
- Hands-on experience with customization of payment switch
- Should be well conversant with the TACL commands
- Good knowledge on writing TACL complex macros and routines
- Should be well conversant with the tandem features and architecture and have the knowledge to implement fault-tolerant application in PATHWAY
- Should be well conversant on some of the important tools/utilities like Netbatch, Spoolcom, Enform, FUP, SQLCI, SCUP,DDL, INSPECT
- Should have the knowledge to configure pathway environment and configure servers in the pathway environment
- In-depth knowledge of PATHWAY sub-system in accordance to application development
- Good knowledge in inter process communication
- Good knowledge of table partitioning/table/views indexing and its implication
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience of Guardian Procedure calls
- Good hands-on experience in debugging the processes and analysis of save abend files
- Should have merchant acquiring and switching experience
- Experience on system integration using latest technologies
- Review code and provide guidance to team members on technical queries
What would be great to have:
- Development of payments application Tandem-C language
- Maintenance of application in HP-Non-stop platform
- Application documentation enhancements
- Develop tools, Utilities, macros to improve the productivity
