Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain C/C++ software modules for connectivity and wireless features under guidance.
- Work on Linux-based application development and support integration with networking and wireless components.
- Contribute to user-space development for connectivity-related services such as HostAPD, Supplicant, Portal, RADIUS, AAA, and Identity and Role Management.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of Wi-Fi features, security mechanisms, and configuration interfaces.
- Debug and resolve software issues using standard debugging and analysis tools.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and defect fixing.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to understand architecture, requirements, and system behaviour.
- Assist in performance, stability, and memory analysis of software components.
- Document technical changes, implementation details, and basic design notes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Preferred candidate profile
- Strong foundation in C/C++ programming with 13 years of development experience.
- Working knowledge of Linux environment development for applications; driver exposure is a plus.
- Experience or exposure to user-space development for connectivity-related products such as HostAPD, Supplicant, Portal, RADIUS, AAA, Identity and Role Management, Yocto Platform, and RadSec.
- Understanding of Wi-Fi standards including IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with awareness of Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7.
- Knowledge of Wi-Fi security protocols including WPA2 and WPA3.
- Fundamental understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, DHCP, ARP, and VLAN.
- Familiarity with management interfaces such as SNMP, NETCONF, YANG, and web-based management applications.
- Experience using debugging tools such as GDB, Wireshark, tcpdump, and Valgrind.
- Understanding of multi-threaded user-space application development.
- Basic exposure to user-space and kernel interaction mechanisms such as sockets and Netlin
