Job Description
Job Title: Automation Tester
Summary: As an Automation Tester, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance testing processes and improve overall product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Automation Development:
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation testing.
- Proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cucumber).
- Investment Banking experience
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).
- Implement and enhance automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Test Planning and Strategy:
- Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Execution and Reporting:
- Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and issues.
- Generate and maintain test reports, documenting test results and defects in tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure timely resolution of defects and issues.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile methodologies and practices.
- Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) is a plus.
