Job Description

Location: Mumbai / Pune / Bangalore / Chennai

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience (3+ years) in Core Mainframe technologies: COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM.
• Proven experience in mainframe re-hosting/migration projects, specifically on the Raincode platform.
• Practical exposure to Raincode for code modifications, compilation, debugging, and unit testing of batch and online components.

Role & responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, modify, and maintain mainframe batch and online applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and VSAM.
• Conduct detailed impact analysis for change requests and understand technical design specifications.
• Implement enhancements and support ongoing development following SDLC best practices.
• Perform SIT/UAT defect analysis, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely fixes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables with minimal supervision and demonstrate the ability to work independently.
• Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and client representatives.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of IMS DB/DC, Easytrieve, Assembler, and Datacom.
• Familiarity with REXX and CLIST scripting.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Telecom domain knowledge is an added advantage.
