Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our OSS software platforms through a blend of manual and automated testing. The role involves defining and executing test cases, developing and maintaining automated test frameworks, and collaborating with engineers, designers, and product owners to deliver robust and high-quality solutions.
- Design, document, and execute manual test cases across functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using Cypress and Python, covering both frontend and backend components.
- Conduct exploratory testing to identify defects, usability issues, and edge cases.
- Ensure software releases meet agreed acceptance criteria, quality standards, and non-functional requirements.
- Log, track, and verify defects, working closely with software engineers to ensure timely resolution.- - - - -Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and QA processes.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and designers to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Provide clear and timely feedback on quality risks, coverage gaps, and readiness for release.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
- Enhance automation frameworks to improve test coverage, efficiency, and reliability.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality checks.
- Recommend and implement tools and processes to drive test effectiveness and efficiency.
- Support performance, scalability, and reliability testing as needed.
