We are seeking experienced professionals with deep domain expertise in Insurance Claims and Underwriting Services (UWS) to join our team as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) or Managers. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of insurance operations, regulatory compliance, and process optimization, along with leadership capabilities to manage teams and drive transformation initiatives. Someone who has driven Process optimization, Cost out and digital and GenAI implementations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Domain Expertise:
  • Provide subject matter expertise in claims processing, underwriting workflows, and policy administration for P&C, Life, and Health insurance lines.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Process Management & Optimization:
  • Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to implement digital solutions, including GenAI and automation tools.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Manage and mentor operational teams handling claims adjudication and underwriting support.
  • Drive performance metrics, SLA adherence, and quality assurance.
  • Client Engagement:
  • Act as a trusted advisor for clients, providing insights on best practices and operational excellence.
  • Support transition and transformation projects for insurance clients.
  • Risk & Compliance:
  • Monitor risk exposure and ensure adherence to regulatory and audit requirements.

GenAI & Digital Transformation Expertise:

  • Leverage Generative AI (GenAI) to enhance underwriting and claims processes through intelligent document processing, predictive analytics, and automated decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for AI-driven automation to reduce cycle times and improve accuracy in claims adjudication and underwriting workflows.
  • Collaborate with data science and technology teams to integrate AI models into operational platforms for real-time insights and risk assessment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience:
  • 58 years of experience in insurance operations, with at least 24 years in claims or underwriting services.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with insurance platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, etc.).
  • Knowledge of automation tools and GenAI applications in insurance.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and client relationships.

Preferred Certifications:

  • CPCU, AINS, or equivalent insurance certifications.

Project Management (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma is a plus
