Job Description
- Role: Linux and Kubernetes Administrator
- Location: Noida/Gurgaon
- Role Summary - Own platform upgrade programs and keep core platforms healthy. You will run Kubernetes upgrades and troubleshooting, build and upgrade monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana, operate the ELK stack for logs, manage and upgrade RHEVM, and automate operations with Ansible. Strong Linux and serverhardware skills are required.
- Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Platform upgrades end to end with clear MOPs, rollback steps, and documentation
- Administer and upgrade Kubernetes clusters: control plane, etcd, CNI, ingress, storage, and backup/restore
- Maintain and upgrade Prometheus, Alert manager, and Grafana; publish SLO reports and actionable alerts
- Upgrade and manage the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash/Beats, Kibana)
- Upgrade and manage RHEVM/RHV for VM lifecycle, templates, storage domains, and host patching
- Upgrade and manger Linux RHEL-7 to rhel8/9
- Perform advanced Linux administration: systemd, networking, LVM/RAID, performance tuning, and hardening
- Handle server hardware: sizing, firmware/BIOS updates, RAID/HBA/NIC issues, and vendor coordination
- Automate with Ansible plus Bash/Python; keep runbooks current and lead RCAs and postmortems
- Requirements
- 5+ years of Linux administration on the RHEL family
- Solid Linux networking on bare metal (bonding, VLANs, NIC tuning)
- Strong Kubernetes administration for upgrades and troubleshooting
- Prometheus and Grafana expertise for alerts, rules, and dashboards
- ELK operations, including upgrades and integrations
- RHEVM/RHV/oVirt administration
- Hardware fundamentals: RAID, SAN/NAS basics, bonding, and outofband management (iDRAC/iLO/Redfish)
- Strong experience with Ansible and scripting (Bash/Python)
- Nice to Have
- RHCSA/RHCE, CKA, or RHV certifications
