The telesales industry involves selling products or services over the phone, using communication skills to persuade customers, generate leads, and build relationships, prevalent across sectors like finance, retail, and tech, and is growing due to digital adoption and demand for personalized outreach, blending traditional sales with modern tech for targeted, omnichannel strategies.
What it is:
A direct sales method using telecommunications (primarily phone calls) to connect with potential and existing customers.
Representatives (tele sales executives/agents) pitch offers, answer questions, handle objections, and close deals.
Key Activities:
Lead Generation & Nurturing: Finding new prospects and converting them into sales.
Customer Relationship Management: Building loyalty and making recommendations.
Meeting Targets: Focusing on daily/monthly call volumes and sales goals.
Upselling & Cross-selling: Selling additional products to existing customers.
