Role Overview
GVPR is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager CTR Representative to lead and oversee major Irrigation Projects/oil & gas/large diameter pipe Project in Eswatini. The role represents the Contractors interests on site and at project level, ensuring that projects are delivered in compliance with technical standards, contractual obligations, timelines, budgets, safety and quality requirements.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Irrigation Projects/oil & gas/large diameter pipe Project, strong leadership capabilities, and extensive experience managing large-scale civil projects from planning through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as CTR / Contractors Technical Representative for infrastructure and water projects.
- Provide overall project management leadership, including planning, execution, monitoring, and control.
- Review and approve designs, drawings, method statements, and technical submissions.
- Ensure compliance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, government authorities, and internal GVPR teams.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans, ensuring timely delivery.
- Lead progress reviews, site meetings, and technical coordination meetings.
- Resolve technical issues, claims, variations, and disputes in coordination with stakeholders.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of infrastructure and water facilities.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to project engineers and site teams.
- Prepare and present technical and progress reports to senior management and clients.
Project Scope/Relevant Experience
- Must have experience in Irrigation Projects/oil gas/large diameter pipe Project.
- Must have experience in minimum 1000mm Dia of MS Pipe/DI Pipe.
- Preferably Gravity/Irrigation Pipe line.
- Roads & Civil Infrastructure Works.
Qualifications & Experience
- M.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
- Minimum 20 years of experience in Irrigation Projects/oil & gas/large diameter pipe Project.
- Must have experience in SA/GCC/EU Countries.
- Must have experience large water conveyance system/Cross country pipeline .
- Proven experience as Project Manager / CTR Representative.
- Strong background in Irrigation Projects/oil & gas/large diameter pipe Project.
- In-depth knowledge of FIDIC or similar contract conditions.
- Experience working with EPC contractors, consultants, and government entities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a senior representative role.
