Job Description
Experience with any of the following:
Oracle Experience
Installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle databases, as well as developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies, optimizing performance, and resolving database issues. They are also responsible for security policies, data migration, and often contribute to infrastructure planning and performance testing.
Core Responsibilities:
Database Installation and Configuration: Setting up and configuring Oracle databases according to specific requirements.
Backup and Recovery: Implementing and maintaining robust backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
Performance Tuning: Optimizing database performance through tuning, indexing, and other techniques.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identifying and resolving database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
Security Management: Implementing and managing database security policies and procedures.
Understanding of Linux operating systems: Knowledge in Linux commands, file systems, and system administration tools.
Scripting skills: Ability to write scripts in languages like Bash or Python to automate tasks.
Troubleshooting skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve system issues.
Knowledge on Git commands
Secondary Important Skill
Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Transact-SQL;
Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio,;
Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/2012;
SQL Server Database Administration 2008 R2 and 2012 and or 2016 and or 2017
Cloud Experience
AWS RDS and EC2 Database administration.
AVD Azure Database administration.
Experience in
High Availability ( Always on and Mirroring and Replication ),
Database Migration,
Database Monitoring
Performance tuning and optimization, troubleshooting problems
Manage back-ups and recovery procedures, troubleshooting problems
Assist developers with query tuning and query /schema refinement
Writing T-SQL Basic query like Select, Insert, Update , Delete statements and basic information about Joins.
Familiar with SSIS, Can able to execute SSIS package.
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Accurate and precise attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company s success
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
