Job Title: GCP Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled GCP Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud-based data engineering, ETL/ELT development, and big data technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP
  
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Cloud Dataflow, Dataproc, or Composer
  
• Develop and manage data warehouses using BigQuery
  
• Implement data ingestion solutions using Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions
  
• Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and security
  
• Optimize performance and cost of GCP data services
  
• Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business teams
  
• Implement CI/CD for data pipelines
  
• Monitor and troubleshoot production data workflows
  

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  
• Hands-on experience with:
  
• BigQuery
  
• Cloud Dataflow (Apache Beam)
  
• Cloud Composer (Airflow)
  
• Cloud Storage
  
• Pub/Sub
  
• Dataproc
  
• Strong SQL and Python skills
  
• Experience with data modeling and warehousing concepts
  
• Knowledge of batch and streaming data processing
  
• Experience with APIs and data integration
  

Tools & Technologies

• Apache Airflow
  
• Spark / Hadoop
  
• Git / CI-CD tools
  
• Terraform (optional but preferred)
  
• Docker / Kubernetes (nice to have)
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering
  
• 2+ years of hands-on GCP experience
  
• GCP Professional Data Engineer certification (preferred)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Good communication and stakeholder collaboration
  
• Ability to work in Agile environments
  
• Attention to detail
