SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate - IAM (Ping Identity) to join our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with PingFederate and PingID, serving as a technical subject matter expert for Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) implementations. This role involves direct application onboarding, troubleshooting complex authentication flows, and supporting secure access across enterprise environments.
Roles & Responsibilities:-Perform end-to-end onboarding and configuration of applications in PingFederate.-Integrate applications using SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC) standards.-Coordinate with application teams to gather integration requirements and perform testing.-Generate, decode, and validate SAML assertions, JWTs, and OAuth tokens.-Ensure correct attribute mapping, claims configuration, and policy compliance.-Support operational IAM tasks including provisioning and de-provisioning users in directory services and Ping platforms.-Assist with access reviews, entitlement validation, and remediation activities.-Configure and maintain PingID policies to enforce enterprise MFA requirements.-Support mobile app and hardware token-based authentication methods.-Act as a technical escalation point for authentication and SSO-related incidents.-Analyze logs, HTTP headers, redirects, and federation messages to identify root causes.-Support CI/CD pipelines and automation efforts for IAM configuration deployments.-Follow version control and change management practices for IAM artifacts
Professional & Technical Skills:-Strong hands-on understanding of SSO, SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC flows.--Ability to explain authentication handshakes and token exchanges.-Proven experience configuring PingFederate components including:-Adapters and selectors-Policy contracts and attribute mapping-Connections and authentication policies-Hands-on experience with PingID MFA configuration and policy management.-Experience using tools such as Postman, browser developer tools, OAuth debuggers, and log analyzers.-Ability to interpret encoded tokens and federation metadata.-Working knowledge of Active Directory / LDAP for user authentication and attribute retrieval.-Ability to work in production support environments with SLA-driven incident management.-Familiarity with change management, release processes, and documentation standards.-Experimce with with strong focus on Identity and Access Management.-Exposure to DevOps methodologies and tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, or Kubernetes is desirable.-Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models.
