Job Description

  • Key Responsibilities

  • Banking-Specific Data Model Design:?Design and create conceptual, logical, and physical data models for retail banking systems, including core banking platforms, customer relationship management (CRM), anti-money laundering (AML), loan origination, and credit card processing systems.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Modeling:?Ensure all data models adhere to stringent banking regulations, such as?Basel III,?BCBS 239,?GDPR, and local financial compliance laws, incorporating necessary fields for risk reporting and auditing.
  • Business Requirements Analysis:?Collaborate with product teams, risk management, finance departments, and compliance officers to gather and analyze data requirements specific to retail banking operations (e.g., customer accounts, transactions, loan products, mortgage data).
  • Metadata Management & Data Lineage:?Utilize erwin DM and the erwin Mart to manage the repository of banking data assets. Develop and maintain robust data dictionaries and detailed data lineage from source systems (like teller systems or online banking apps) to target analytics platforms.
  • Database Implementation & Optimization:?Work with DBAs and data engineers to implement physical models across various platforms (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake), ensuring high performance and data integrity for high-volume transaction processing systems.
  • Forward & Reverse Engineering:?Employ erwin??s capabilities to reverse engineer legacy banking systems to ensure proper documentation, and forward engineer new systems to replace outdated structures.
