Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Business Development
1. Develop the annual plan aligned with the Tourism Boards strategy, focusing on trade, and ensure achievement of defined monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
2.Analyse business needs to identify new opportunities beyond the core areas and explore strategic alliances or partnerships accordingly.

4. Coordinate with all HO departments to discuss strategies, budgets, and growth plans; engage with Tourism Boards on Trade, MICE, and Corporate programs; and monitor and motivate agents to meet targets.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with key travel agents, tour operators, corporate clients, and Tourism Boards/Ministries.
6. Support trade partners through training, workshops, webinars, and FAM trips to enhance product knowledge and marketing capabilities.
7. Identify and pursue new sales opportunities via outreach efforts and ensure smooth event execution by coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
Tender and Proposal Management, Compliance, Brand Management, and Market Intelligence
8. Complete responsibility of managing day to day activities for Tourism board
9. Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities within the travel trade sector.
10. Generate reports summarizing event outcomes, participant satisfaction, and business leads generated.
11. Plan and execute innovative marketing strategies, joint promotions with Travel trade agents, OTAs etc. Solicit participation from private sector partners in promoting the destination
12. Monitor and report on campaign effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations for optimization
13. Ensure compliance with the companys information security policies and procedures.

14. Promote judicious use of natural resources.
15. Adhere to the organization's environment, health, and safety policies, objectives, and guidelines.
Anti Bribery Management Systems (ABMS)
16. Follow the ABMS roles and responsibilities details as prescribed on the ABMS manual.
a. Understanding of ethical standards and the importance of integrity in business practices.
b. Ability to identify and evaluate risks related to bribery in various business contexts. For more detailed explanation, follow the ABMS manual.
Preferred candidate profile
Someone who can represent a tourism board in the South market. Candidate should be from the Travel and Tourism industry with an experience of 5 -10 years in Travel Trade Sales (B2B) with good communication skills.
