Job Description

Mandatory Requirements

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional (non-negotiable).
• Strong software engineering background (Python, Boto3, AWS SDKs).

Core AWS Native Development Experience

• Hands-on product/application development using:
• SageMaker (ML model training, deployment, pipelines).
• Glue (ETL workflows, data integration).
• Bedrock (generative AI applications, LLM integration).
• OpenSearch (search-driven applications, analytics).
• Proven use of Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions for serverless application development.

Application Development Focus

• Evidence of building software products (not just infra setup).
• Experience in microservices, event-driven architectures, and API design.
• Ability to write production-grade code with testing and CI/CD integration.

AI/ML & Generative AI

• Practical project experience in AI/ML workloads (recommendation engines, NLP apps, generative AI chatbots).
• Integration of AWS AI services into real applications.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Experience leading application development teams.
• Conducted Well-Architected Reviews or similar governance activities.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.

Recommended Steps:

• Reject infra-only profiles (focused on migrations, IaC, DevOps automation without product development).
• Prioritize developers who explicitly mention SageMaker, Glue, Bedrock, and OpenSearch in project work.
• Ensure candidates demonstrate both coding depth and AWS-native solutioning.
