ADP Private Limited. is hiring a Principal Data Scientist at Hyderabad location.

As a Principal Data Scientist at ADP, youll be part of a team thats leading the next wave of disruption at scale, using the latest in computing and machine learning technologies and operating across millions of employee records to deliver app features that delight customers with personalized experiences. You will be the driving force to experiment, innovate and create next generation experiences powered by the latest emerging AI technologies. This role requires deep expertise in machine learning and data science.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Set technical direction for AI/ML initiatives and partner with product and engineering leaders to define and execute data science strategy.
- Build, deploy, and scale machine learning models (including NLP, LLMs, and Generative AI) to power user-facing features.
Be the expert in GenAI to harness the power of Large Language Models (LLMs), adapt and finetune them for customer facing applications and features.
Partner with engineering teams to integrate them into applications and services and operationalize them in scalable and resilient production systems that serve millions of users.
Leverage a broad stack of technologies to reveal the insights hidden within huge volumes of structured and unstructured data.
Champion best practices in MLOps, data quality, and experimentation.
Work in close collaboration with leadership to assemble a world-class team.
Mentor a team of data scientists and ML engineers, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive environment.
Continue learning and discovering new ways to leverage ADP data to create new products and services and find more insights.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or quantitative field with 10+ years experience in Data Science is required.
Expert level proficiency in Python and SQL.
Strong experience with machine learning libraries (scikit-learn, PyTorch, or similar)
Strong experience with distributed computing and cloud platforms (Databricks, AWS, or similar).
Demonstrated experience taking models from concept to production at scale
Experience with technical storytelling and customer-facing project demos.
Expertise in NLP, LLMs, or Generative AI
Proven success in mentoring, and developing technical teams.
Ability to influence technical strategy and drive adoption of new technologies.
Strong communication skills able to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strategic thinking to connect data science initiatives to business outcomes.
