Job Description
Job Title: Pricing Lead (Subject Matter Expert) IT Services
Location: India, any city (Hyderabad preferred)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Pricing Subject Matter Expert to support our newly created ITaaS for external customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing effective pricing strategies, ensuring financial goals such as EBITDA and margin targets are met, and aligning pricing models with market demands globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize pricing models tailored for IT services targeting global markets.
- Leverage expertise in various pricing models, including Time & Material (T&M), Fixed Price, Resource Unit (RU)-based pricing, Subscription-based, and Consumption-based models, to create customized solutions for diverse customer needs.
- Analyze and account for all cost components, including manpower costs (salaries, benefits, training, etc.) and non-manpower costs (infrastructure, tools, software, overheads, etc.), to build accurate and competitive pricing structures.
- Collaborate with the finance team to evaluate overheads, cost allocations, and ensure alignment with profitability targets.
- Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to stay updated on industry pricing standards, trends, and competitor strategies.
- Establish frameworks for pricing proposals, including TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), ROI (Return on Investment), and hybrid pricing models.
- Work closely with solutions and sales teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives and customer expectations.
- Provide expert guidance on pricing strategy for complex deals, including global and regional variations.
- Support in training internal teams on pricing models, cost breakdowns, and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field (Masters preferred).
- Proven experience (8+ years) in pricing IT services, with a strong understanding of global markets.
- Expertise in various pricing models, including T&M, Fixed Price, RU-based, Subscription-based, and Consumption-based approaches.
- Strong understanding of manpower costs, non-manpower costs, and overall overheads to build comprehensive pricing strategies.
- Solid knowledge of financial metrics such as EBITDA, margins, and P&L analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in global roles or working across different geographies is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of IT services, solutions, and delivery models.
- Familiarity with pricing software and tools.
- Ability to handle complex financial data and create actionable insights.
