Job Summary
The Sourcing Lead will be part of the Knowledge Services team and will lead end-to-end procurement and sourcing projects across multiple categories and sub-categories. The role involves developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing Execution
- Lead and execute end-to-end sourcing and procurement processes across assigned categories and sub-categories
- Manage RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ), supplier evaluations, scorecards, and contract negotiations
- Support category managers and senior leads in executing sourcing projects and driving continuous improvement
- Handle spend analysis, spot buys, tail spend management, PR-PO processing, and approvals
Supplier & Contract Management
- Lead supplier relationship management, supplier risk assessments, and performance evaluations
- Conduct industry benchmarking, market intelligence, and supplier financial risk analysis
- Manage contract renewals, migrations, red-lining, and collaboration with the contracts team
- Oversee vendor onboarding, compliance audits, and service deskrelated activities
Stakeholder & Project Management
- Manage internal customer relationships and cross-functional category teams
- Translate business requirements into clear Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Lead auctions to drive competitive pricing and optimal commercial terms
- Track SLAs, KPIs, and ensure effective stakeholder communication
Analytics & Reporting
- Utilize analytical tools to identify cost-saving opportunities and supplier performance gaps
- Prepare and present reports, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership
Team Leadership
- Support project allocation and guide team members during project kick-off
- Mentor junior analysts; people management experience (25 members) is an advantage
Required Skills & Competencies
Experience & Knowledge
- 5-8 years of relevant sourcing and procurement experience
- Strong knowledge of direct and indirect procurement categories
- Experience in tactical and strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and purchasing processes
- Familiarity with sourcing tools, e-sourcing platforms, ERP/P2P systems, and contract management software
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Experience in data analysis, benchmarking, and supplier performance tracking
Soft Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities
- Client-facing experience with exposure to NA and EMEA stakeholders
- Agile, flexible, and adaptable with a proactive, positive attitude
