Key Responsibilities of a Safety Officer
• Policy Development: Creating, reviewing, and updating occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to local, state, and national safety laws (e.g., OSHA).
• Risk Management: Performing, identifying, and mitigating risks through hazard identification and safety audits.
• Incident Investigation: Investigating accidents, maintaining records, and recommending corrective actions.
• Training: Organizing and conducting safety drills, workshops, and awareness programs.
