Job Description : Senior Data Scientist / Analytics Lead (BFSI)
Experience: 6-8 years
Role Summary
Senior analytics role responsible for driving multiple analytical initiatives across BFSI, including but not limited to funnel analytics. The role focuses on problem structuring, hypothesis definition, insight generation, and stakeholder engagement, while guiding analytical execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support diverse analytical workstreams across BFSI domains
- Frame business problems into structured analytical questions and hypotheses
- Define data requirements, metrics, and success criteria for analyses
- Guide analysts on data extraction, feature creation, and validation logic
- Interpret analytical results and translate them into actionable insights
- Present findings, recommendations, and impact to senior stakeholders
- Support ad-hoc analysis, deep dives, and strategic decision-making initiatives
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- Strong BFSI analytics experience (mandatory)
- Proven experience across multiple analytical areas (funnel/journey, campaign, customer, risk, or operations analytics)
- Hypothesis-driven analytical mindset
- Ability to work across structured and ambiguous problem statements
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience mentoring or guiding analysts
Relevant Backgrounds
- Banking or financial services analytics
- Campaign, customer, or lifecycle analytics
- Sales, servicing, or operations analytics
- Digital, funnel, or journey analytics within BFSI
