Job Description
Job Title: Senior QA & QC Manager
Department: Quality Assurance & Quality Control
Location: Mumbai
Job Summary
The Senior QA & QC Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and continuously improving the organizations Quality Management System (QMS). The role ensures compliance with international standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), enhances customer satisfaction, drives quality excellence across all projects and offices, and supports continuous improvement initiatives within the construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Systems & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems, policies, procedures, and processes across the organization.
- Coordinate and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certification requirements.
- Plan, monitor, and manage internal and external ISO audits across all projects and offices.
- Revise and update quality functional processes as required to align with best practices and organizational needs.
Audits & Continuous Improvement
- Plan, conduct, and monitor quality audits to assess and improve the effectiveness of the companys quality control systems.
- Identify non-conformities and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct regular quality reviews to monitor implementation of quality systems across ongoing projects.
- Identify functional and operational risks related to quality and recommend mitigation measures.
Customer Interface & Feedback
- Collect, analyze, and report customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Interact with customers to understand specific quality requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
- Handle and resolve quality-related complaints in coordination with relevant internal teams.
Project & Site Engagement
- Visit project sites and facilities as required to monitor quality implementation and interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support project teams in implementing quality standards and resolving quality-related challenges.
- Monitor and analyse quality control data and KPIs on a regular basis.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Professional certifications in Quality Management or ISO Lead Auditor (ISO 9001/14001/45001) preferred.
- Minimum 12-17 years of experience in QA/QC, preferably within the construction or infrastructure industry.
- Strong experience in ISO certification, audits, and quality system implementation.
