Job Description
Role Summary
The OICS Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). The role includes working with Oracle SaaS applications, thirdparty systems, APIs, and automation workflows to deliver scalable and reliable integration solutions. Responsibilities include end-to-end integration lifecycle, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and following Oracle best practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Integration Design & Development
Design, develop, and maintain integrations using Oracle Integration Cloudincluding orchestrations, integration flows, and connectors. [hcltech.com],
Build integrations between Oracle Cloud ERP / HCM / SCM and thirdparty or onpremise applications.
Develop REST/SOAP-based APIs, reusable components, and frameworks for integration.
2. Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Support
Monitor integration performance, debug failures, and ensure reliable data flow.
Perform rootcause analysis and optimize integrations for performance and scalability.
3. Documentation & Best Practices
Prepare design documents, technical specifications, test plans, and user guides.
Ensure adherence to Oracle integration standards and enterprise architecture best practices.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with functional consultants, business users, and technical teams to gather requirements.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, deliver sprint items, and coordinate with QA for testing.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
6+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
Strong proficiency in:
Integration flows, orchestration, adapters, ICS mappings.
REST/SOAP web services, JSON, XML, XSD.
VBCS and PCS for application development and workflow automation.
Experience integrating Oracle Cloud ERP/HCM/SCM or similar systems.
Experience in working with cloud and onprem integrations.
Strong debugging, monitoring, and performance optimization skills.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Oracle SOA Suite, OSB, BPEL, and Fusion Middleware.
Experience with Oracle Database, SQL/PLSQL, Linux/Unix shell scripting.
Familiarity with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Maven), APIs, and security.
Soft Skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work in an Agile environment.
Analytical mindset with problemsolving orientation.
