Job Description
Job Summary:
UKG is seeking an Integration Consultant to support US benefits integrations across retirement plans and consumer-directed healthcare programs. This role will partner directly with clients and benefit vendors to design, build, test, and maintain file-based integrations and HRIS enhancements, ensuring accurate and timely data exchange across systemsespecially during critical cycles like Open Enrollment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end implementation and ongoing support for benefits integrations (HSA/FSA, COBRA, retirement plan vendors).
- Configure, build, and maintain outbound/inbound file feeds including 834 and other EDI formats.
- Gather requirements with clients and vendors; translate business needs into technical integration and HRIS enhancement specifications.
- Coordinate with third-party carriers/vendors on file feed mapping, transmission methods (SFTP, etc.), schedules, and troubleshooting.
- Support Open Enrollment readiness: validation, parallel testing, issue triage, and go-live support.
- Perform data analysis and QA: eligibility, enrollments, deductions, demographic changes, and retro updates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve file errors/rejections, balancing issues, and format/mapping discrepancies; provide root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Document integration designs, mapping specs, test cases, and operational runbooks; provide client communication and status updates.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience delivering HR/benefits integrations in an HRIS environment, preferably with UKG solutions.
- Hands-on expertise with 834 file feeds, COBRA, and EDI file processing/mapping.
- Strong understanding of US benefits administration processes (enrollments, eligibility, deductions) including HSA/FSA programs.
- Experience working directly with clients and vendors to stand up and maintain file feeds and HRIS enhancements.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; comfortable working with large data files and identifying discrepancies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially in time-sensitive periods (e.g., Open Enrollment).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to retirement plan vendor integrations and related data requirements.
- Familiarity with secure file transfer protocols (SFTP/PGP) and file automation/monitoring.
- Experience supporting multiple concurrent client integrations in a consulting or SaaS environment.
